How the auction processworks
The auctioneer quotes a minimum price for each item. You indicate that you are willing to pay the price quoted by raising your hand. The auctioneer only increases the price until the final bidder remains. With the acceptance of the highest bid from the final bidder, a contract of sale has been agreed which cannot be rescinded.
With your bid, you accept the terms and conditions of the auction which are posted in the auction rooms in Hamburg. Don’t forget the surcharge. When an item is sold at auction, the buyer is required to pay a 10% surcharge to the auctioneer in addition to the final bid. The purchase price, including the buyer’s surcharge, is to be paid to the auctioneer immediately subsequent to the auction by bank debit card and PIN code. Credit cards are not accepted.
